Meet Our Judges

Xosia

XOSIA, legally known as Zosia McGregor, is a Caribbean Reggae Artiste with a soulful sound deeply rooted in her love for reggae music. 

Having attended the School of Drama at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts to pursue Theatre Arts (drama), her love for drama and the arts were heightened, but she could not ignore the lure of music. That lure enabled her to pursue singing, which she did as a background vocalist for several Jamaican artiste such as Ras-I, Runkus, Kelissa, Dre-Island and more recently, Romain Virgo.

Being exposed to a wide array of music, Xosia is inspired by her Father's music, as well as music from other artistes like Marcia Griffiths, Dennis Brown, Tessanne Chin and Judy Mowatt, who she believes have set the foundation which greatly inspires her sound.

Wayneroy

Wayneroy's debut Album 'Older than I Look' was released in April 2011, with every song on the album written and produced by Wayneroy himself. With genres including pop, rock and of course r&b the album was a major success for a first time independent artist from the Cayman Islands selling over 10,000 digital and physical copies collectively in its first month of sale. Six singles from the album were released and gained major spins on radio stations in the UK, Caribbean and US including Power 105.1fm in New York. The success of the album afforded him a record contract and Wayneroy was signed to UAA Music in May, 2013. In 2014 Wayneroy received the International Success Award by the CMEA.

Wayneroy has lived in the US for the past 10 years and has continued to work in the industries producing and writing music for a number of artist from almost every genre. He is currently the Creative Director for 3 time Grammy Winner and living legend Wyclef Jean.

JG

Jason Gilbert, known by his nickname JG, is a Caymanian multi-platinum record producers, songwriter, mixing engineer and DJ. JG has produced for artists including Eminem, Bad Meets Evil, Akon, Christina Aguilera and Taio Cruz, Kes and Machel Montani. JG has produced songs for television and feature films. In 2011, Gilbert won a Grammy Award for his production work on Eminem's Recovery album.

JG is the founder of Happy Parrot Records, he releases music and performs under the name Skorch Bun It. JG has a MSc in Finance from FIU and is an active board member of the Cayman National Cultural Foundation.
